October 29, 1947 ~ March 2, 2023

William “Willie” Lamm Sr., 75, of Dinwiddie, Virginia, passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on Thursday, March 2, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ola Mae and Jennings Franklin Lamm, and three sisters, Virginia Perkinson, Ann Elder, and Gladys Pearce.  Mr. Lamm is survived by his loving wife, Nancy F. Lamm; daughters, April L. Edmonds and Teresa A. H. Robinson; and sons, Niven Lamm (Courtney) and Willie Lamm Jr., (Lucy).  Willie loved his grandkids so much and they were the apple of his eye. He had four grandbabies, Tegan Lamm, Abigail Roeber, Blaze Edmonds, and Autumn Lowe.  He loved life and was very proud to be a Veteran. Willie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded numerous awards; two of them being the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.  He always was proud to wear that Vietnam Veteran hat and coat. He was very active in his younger years as a coach with the youth softball league, which he loved tremendously.  The family will have a private cremation service but will receive friends and family to celebrate the life of Willie on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dinwiddie Ruritan Club, 15610 Courthouse Rd Dinwiddie, VA 23841.
