Travis Scott “Coop” Cooper, 24, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at his residence after a long battle with addiction. He was born on September 16, 1998, to the late Christopher Scott “Scotty” Cooper and Lori Leigh Bauschatz of Colonial Heights, VA. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, JC “Papa” Cooper, as well as great-grandparents, Constance “Connie” Shelton Mears and Alan “Wimpy” Mears Sr. and Annie E. Cooper and Stonewall Jackson Cooper.

Travis enjoyed riding dirt bikes, paintball, playing video games, and he loved to cook. Wow, what an awesome cook!

He is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Lori Leigh Bauschatz and husband Ross; brother, Michael Scott Cooper (Jordan); step-siblings, Taylar, Maddison, and Parker Bauschatz; grandparents, Sheila “Gaga” Miller and Jim “Papa” Miller, Raymond “Papa Raymond” Barrett (Lorna), Lanelle “Nana” Cooper, and Darlene Bauschatz aunts and uncles, Angel DeSouza “Aunt Nangel” (Danny Wagstaff), and Jay Cooper II; cousins, Amanda Cooper, and Kyle and Derek Mears; as well as many other extended family and friends along with special friend, Savannah Goins.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday June 24, 2023, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
