December 10, 1990 – May 20, 2023

Today we celebrate the life of Robert G. “Roc” Belfield, who transitioned from his earthly life to his eternal heavenly home on May 20, 2023.

Robert, a devoted father, son, brother, nephew and friend was born December 10, 1990 to Yvette M. Ward and Robert E. Belfield, Jr. He attended Petersburg High School where he received his high school diploma.

Determined to build a better life for him and his family, Robert not long after having his first child, Amira Belfield, moved to South Carolina, where he began to build his reputation. Starting with small home improvement task, Robert had begun to sprout, building his clientele and obtaining his LLC in Contractor work.  Robert was so focused that sadly he just didn’t have enough time to show his full potential.

Along side all of Robert’s efforts to build a better life, he was also family orientated.  He loved to play “Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto.” He was also spiritually in tune.  He was a die-hard Cowboys fan and just loved sharing his time with people who loved him and whom he loved.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Brylin Belfield; brother, Vereen “Anur” Lewis and his brother-in-law, Deonte “DeeDee” Greene.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Yvette Ward; father, Robert E. Belfield, Jr.; grandmother, Doris A. Ward; grandfather, Robert E. Belfield, Sr.; sister, Tiffany Greene; brothers, Recarlos T. Ward, Excell Lewis (Kayla), Isaiah Belfield, Stacey Ward, Brandon Jones, Davonte Belfield (Joan), and Raekwon Coleman; daughters, Amira and Keziah; sons, Dre’Sean and his unborn son; the mother of his children, Shanice Lewis, Katouria Sims and Justine Bond; uncle, Lenard Avery; and a host of devoted friends, nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to name.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the residence of his brother, Davonte Belfield, 1125 Hawk Street, Petersburg, VA.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 3, 2023, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Damion T. Batts, eulogist.
