Rickey M. Mason, 32, of Petersburg, VA, passed away June 4, 2023. He was preceded in death great grandmother, Evelyn Fisher; grandfather, Purcell Mason, Sr.; aunts, Rhonda Fisher and Carleassa Mason; uncle, Purcell Mason, Jr. and  and his great aunt, Joyce Parham.

In Rickey’s spare time, he loved to play on his phone.  He was currently employed at Standard Motors.

Rickey is survived by his wife, Rowena Mason and stepdaughter, Ky’Layah Mason; mother, Gloria Mason (Ashford Massenburg); father, Rickey Finney (Marilee); sisters, Shamika L. Mason; brothers, Marvin Simms; grandmothers, Gloria Mason and Shirley Finney; two nephews, Kiuan Cochran and Tyrric Mason; aunts, Brenda Thornton, Evelyn James Mason, Sheryl Garner, and Sylvia Finney; uncle, Willie Finney; several cousins, Milton Fisher, Tyrric Mason, Tyree Mason, Dupree Owens, Alex Thomas, Terrell Fisher, Delvonte Finney, Pierre Artis, and Rennie James;  stepsister, Shania Finney; stepbrothers, Aaron Clement, Trevon Clement and Terry Finney; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Pastor Felicia Fisher, eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
