December 7, 1998 – June 23, 2023

Reshad Markell Stowe was born on December 7, 1998 in Hopewell, VA at John Randolph Hospital to Markishya L. Stowe Provost and Reginald Harris.  He departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father on June 23, 2023 in Chesterfield, VA.  He was adored and referred to as “Spoony G”, “Shadudy Baudy”, and “Shaud” by his devoted family.

Reshad lived in Chesterfield VA, with his mother and stepfather as a small child.  He attended Harrowgate Elementary, Carver Middle School and Matoaca High School where he graduated on June 8, 2017. He resided with his maternal grandparents and worked at Amazon Norrell LLC, as a young adult.

Reshad was a free spirit whom enjoyed skate boarding, making music, playing basketball and hanging with his friends. Reshad smiled bright and had big dreams.  He loved and appreciated the family “Sunday Dinners”, where he would spend time with his siblings and cousins creating everlasting memories as he was the oldest of the crew.  Birthdays were a “big to do” in the family.  Reshad always looked forward to his day and soaked in the love, laughter and comradery from all around.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Katie Harris; aunt, Jessica Hardy and his maternal great grandparents.  

Reshad was the love of Markishya and Ernest Provost; grandson of Richard and Jessie Stowe, Dominic and Cynthia Hardy, and Ernest Banks; nephew of Lynquita and Mario Thompson, Richard D. Stowe, Jr., Amaila Stowe, Brandon Banks, Brittany Banks, and Bryan Banks; sibling of Shymeen Provost, Kensington Provost, Regia Harris, DeAndre Murdock, and Isaiah Harris; cousins of Mario Thompson, Jr., Richard D. Stowe III, Marc Stowe, Sydnei Thompson, Kejuan Meade and Kamari Meade; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 3, 2023, at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 800 Augusta Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin, Pastor, the Rev. Jameson K. McLaughlin, eulogist. The interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
