April 17, 1966 – August 1, 2023

Reginald Steven Marsh entered eternal rest with our gracious Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at TriCities Hospital, Hopewell, Virginia. Reggie, as he was affectionately known as, was a native of Hopewell, Virginia and was the son of Earnestine Wyche Marsh and the late Joe L. Marsh.

Reggie was a graduate of Hopewell Public School System, graduating with the Class of 1986. He was very well known for his infectious personality and sense of humor.  He shined his light everywhere he went and was the “Proclaimed Ring King”. He was never seen without his abundance of gold jewelry, including 17 rings and a gold tooth that radiated along with his smile and contagious laugh.

Reggie was well known in his community for his volunteer security work that he loved and was committed to for well over 15 years. His most recent gig was at “Honey Rose Diamond Girls Gathering Room”, where he became a part of their family Reggie was loved, respected and was spoke highly of often receiving his flowers he deserved. Reggie was a “Gentle Giant” who had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could.

Reggie loved the Lord and he was never ashamed to ride around blasting his gospel music. He was a man of neatness and coordination. He made sure to take pride in everything he worked for and obtained.

To know Reggie was to love him. From his corny jokes to his witty sayings, quotes, life lessons and realness he relayed to his people, he will be missed. If you knew Reggie, he left his mark on you somehow and he will never be forgotten.

Reggie leaves to cherish a legacy of love to his thirteen children, Tara “Cricket” Raines-Abraham (Vidale “Dott”) of North Chesterfield, Kiara Weeks of Delaware, Johnathan Moseley (Mykiala) of Petersburg, DaKiah Marsh of Hopewell, Reginald Clark (Jvonne) of Chesterfield, Jasmine Johnson (Marco) and Devonte “DJ” Johnson (Kayla) both of Chesterfield, Nassir Kelly of Delaware, Taniyah Morse of Petersburg, Zyasia Rollins and Zydaejah Rollins of Hopewell, Reginald ‘Red” Marsh, Jr. of Colonial Heights, Samiyah Marsh of Hopewell, and one honorable son, Robert Johnson of Colonial Heights. Reggie was also a “daddy” to a few more love angels whose names aren’t mentioned but are loved immensely. Reggie leaves behind twenty grandchildren; seven siblings, Joe Anthony “Dr. Smooth” Marsh (Amelia), Linda Coleman (Andre Sr.), Kevin L. Marsh, Karen D. Ricks (Michael), Nathaniel O. Marsh, Shonina L. Comegys-Davis (Vincent) and Serena Miles; one devoted nephew, Andre “Sweetpea” Coleman, Jr.; a great nephew, Talique “Rex” Coleman; special friends, Rachel Marsh (who was his ex-wife, “Honey Rose”), and Devin Rose; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to name.

Please forgive us for whomever is not mentioned, however it’s all LOVE! Reggie will always be in our hearts with fond memories. Sleep peacefully!
