April 9, 1959 – January 28, 2023

Ray Bernard Baskerville, affectionately known as “Ninny-Boo/Huff”, passed from time to eternity on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was born on April 9, 1959 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to Gladys Baskerville and Burt Parham.

Ray accepted Christ as a young adult and was baptized at Harvest International Full Gospel Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia. He later became a member of Third Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia.

Ninny-Boo received his formal education in Petersburg Public School Systems. He started a career with Southern Construction where is advanced to the Lead Foreman.

After a loving courtship, Ray and Janet were united in holy matrimony for 22 years. Ninny-Boo was a loyal and faithful man who loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was one who loved when needed and fought when necessary. He would tell the truth with love and stand by your side at all cost.

Ninny-Boo was always ready for a road trip or a visit to a good fishing hole. His passion was cooking and eating a good southern home-cook meal. This love of food lead him to his commitment to the community by feeding those in need or helping others with their monetary issues. He loved Westerns and his beloved Washington Commanders, both were his favorite past times. Ninny-Boo was a strong man with a BIG heart.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, Burt Parham and mother, Gladys Lee; brothe, Salis Baskerville, Jr.
