June 10, 1969  –  April 27, 2023

Peacefully and with a precious countenance our beloved, supportive wife, nurturing mother, faithful sister, and adored daughter Mrs. Monica Richardson exchanged her earthly life for a spiritual eternal life on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Wonder City Rehabilitation Center at the age of 54 years old.

Monica was and still remains a gift from God, born on June 10, 1969 to Deloris Hoosier and the late John Wynn, Jr. She was greeted at the Heavenly Gates by her father, late grandparents, Lee O. and Alice Alexander and John Wynn, Sr.

Monica matriculated through Petersburg Public School System with patience and perseverance graduating in 1988. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united in membership with Church of Christ in Petersburg, VA. She possessed a work ethic for a short period of time at Ponderosa Restaurant.

Our precious Monica was a woman of prolific strength and determination. She was a true compassionate (Warrior) who was a fighter both physically and spiritually. Her favorite things to do were arts and crafts, dancing, music, and doing hair. Prince was her favorite artist and a true Cowboy Fan. Other times she spent dressing in fly clothes, driving the most beautiful cars, and loving her family dearly.

Monica’s blessed life, unconditional love, and enduring legacy will be forever cherished by  “the love of her life” Vernon Richardson, Sr. of Petersburg; devoted and faithful son, Vernon C. Richardson, Jr. (Chermil) of S Chesterfield; loving mother, Delois Hoosier (Amos) of Hopewell; siblings, Damon Wynn of Atlanta, GA; host of caring uncles, Lee Alexander of Oklahoma, Robert Alexander of Matoaca, Garnet Alexander of Petersburg, and Ronnie Alexander of Petersburg; beautiful caring sisters-in-law, Charmin Truly and Cheryl Rawlings both of Petersburg; host of nieces and nephews, Robert Truly of S Chesterfield, Aaron Rawlings of Hopewell, India Rawlings of Petersburg, Jeniyah Truly of New York; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
