Maxine Jones Pollock, 94, of South Prince George (previously Colonial Heights), passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022. She was born in Hopewell on December 12, 1927 to the late John Edward and Maude Elizabeth Jones and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Pollock; and seven brothers, William, Nelson, Gordon, Robert, Eldridge, Howard, and Lloyd Jones. Mrs. Pollock was a longtime member of Highland United Methodist Church where she was the former treasurer. She was active in many church activities and spent her time serving her community by serving meals to the homeless in Petersburg. She also enjoyed needlework, puzzles, and gardening. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Skelton; brother, Curtis Jones; 19 nieces and nephews; and a number of caring friends.
