Mary Virginia Farmer Beasley, 96, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Mary, born in Richmond, Virginia, was the only child of the late Roy and Mary Farmer, and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; Robert (Bob) Beasley.

She was a graduate of John Marshall High School. Mary studied piano under the late Maggie Holland and was a retired piano teacher and church organist. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Colonial Heights, Virginia, and AARP Chapter 1399, Ft. Lee.

She is survived by her three daughters Gwen Sichol; Beth Beasley; and Joan Temple; grandchildren, Ben Bruce, Sarah Weaver, Ellen Meador, Carrie Mitchem, Danielle Temple and Rachel Temple; nine great-grandchildren Micah, Maddox, Mackain and Mercy Bruce; Grace, Claire and Audrey Meador, Willow Ruley; and Nathan Mitchem.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private and will be held at a later date in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 620 Lafayette Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 or the Southern Baptist Foreign Missions.
