Lewis Howard Lufsey, 59, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Lufsey. Lewis was a free spirit with a charismatic personality; he never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He also liked metal detecting and go-kart racing in his spare time. Lewis is survived by his father, Lewis E. Lufsey; sisters, Vicki Elder (Glenn) and Cathy Newton (David); nephews, Dustin Newton (Elizabeth) and Chad Newton (Patricia); three great nieces; and his special friends, Tina Pardo and Lil Bit. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 12:00-1:30 PM at J.T. Morriss & Son – Petersburg, 103 S. Adams Street, Petersburg, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, Petersburg. Per Lewis’ request, casual attire of blue jeans and t-shirts may be worn at his service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.act.alz.org.
