Mr. Levi Hendrick of 444 Pine Ridge Road, Petersburg, Virginia departed this life on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Bon Secours-Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, Virginia. He was born on November 4 , 1955 and was a native of Union Level, Virginia.

During his earlier years he attended Mecklenburg County Public Schools. He is a former member of Roanoke Zion RZUA Church Bracey, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Luetta Thweatt Hendrick; grandmother, Rosa Hargrove Hendrick who lovingly cared for him for many years; one brother, Larry Hendrick.

He leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Lewis Jr. (Joyce) of Chesterfield; one sister, Etta Bond (Larry) of Henrico County; two nephews, Pierce and Pierre Hendrick; one niece, Briana Bond; four aunts, Clara Mae, Frances, Mary and Theresa; and a host of cousins and friends. The family wishes to sincerely thank Ms. Jovat Bates for providing loving residential care for nine years for our brother Levi. Levi was fond of dressing up, and in particular wearing dressy hats and colorful socks. He also loved listening to music by the Temptations, The Four Tops and other Motown artist.

Homegoing service will be held 11 A.M., Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Petersburg Chapel of Bland Funeral Home, 137 Harrison St, Petersburg, VA, 23803. Rev. Calvin Lewis, Sr, officiating. Interment will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park. Public visitation will be held 10am-7pm, Thursday, June 8, at the funeral home.
