Latonya Evette Graise, of 17 St John Court, Petersburg, VA, was born on October 23, 1968, to Mack A. Wyche Sr. and Gloria McKeever Rose. She was affectionately known as “Tonya”. She received her wings on August 13, 2023, in ICU at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Latonya was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Graise, Sr.; grandmother, Annie Davis; grandparents, George Sr. and Lucille O. McKeever; and her brother-in-law, Lorenzo Graise.

Latonya was part of the Blandford Community. She was baptized at an early age at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the choir. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1986 and got her first job at Southside Virginia Training Center after graduation. Latonya relocated to Northern Virginia, where she received her certification in Computer Technology from Strayer University. She was employed with Humana/Group Health in Springfield, VA. She joined Shiloh Baptist Church, 1401 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA.

Latonya later moved to Columbia, MD where she worked as a Grievance and Appeals Coordinator at MedStar Health in Baltimore, MD and Kaiser Permanente in Rockville, MD. She joined First Baptist Church of Guilford. 

Latonya is survived by her children, Tevin Graise of Baltimore, MD, Anthony Graise, Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, and Qianna Graise of Ellicott City, MD; brother, Mack A. Wyche (Sandra) of Upper Marlboro, MD; nephews, Marcus Wyche of Washington D.C., Tyrek Jones and Allan Tucker both of Bailey’s Cross Road, VA, and Donte Jones of Georgia; nieces, Brittany Tucker of Northern Virginia, Shantay Jones of Maryland and Maria Sparrow of Northern Virginia; devoted companion, Prince Jones, Sr. of Petersburg, VA; mother-in-law, Effie Smith of Ellicott City, MD; godson, Aaron Brown of Petersburg, VA; god-sister, Gwendolyn Joseph of Baltimore, MD; godmother, Malinda Turner of Petersburg, VA; godfather, James Oliver (Dorothy) of Baltimore, MD; uncles, James McKeever (Marilyn), Alvin McKeever (Augusta), William McKeever (Deloise) and Robert McKeever(Dulceana); aunts, Rev. Merle Keene (Robert), Betty Nunnally, Frances Macklin, Susan Higgins of California, and Phyllis Smith of Columbia, MD; and many devoted cousins, especially Adrienne Richardson, Angela Lundy, and George McKeever III.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 P.M., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 613 East Wythe Street, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Eli Melvin, Jr., Pastor.
