He was widely recognized for his problem-solving abilities and his unwavering determination. Wayne’s deep faith in Jesus Christ was an integral part of his life, and he sought to share the message of the gospel with others, often leaving rocks inscribed with John 3:16. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family. In his later years, he discovered joy in crafting wind chimes and designing rocks, using these creations as a means to share the story of Jesus.

The funeral services honoring Wayne’s life will take place at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home – Dinwiddie Chapel on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Following the ceremony, Wayne will be laid to rest in a graveside ceremony at Southlawn Memorial Park.

Wayne’s family and friends will forever cherish his memory. His quick wit, infectious half-smile, and captivating storytelling left those who knew him yearning for more time together. As a testament to his faith, we honor Wayne’s memory by sharing John 3:16, which states, “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”
