God whispered in a sweet angel’s ear and called her home. Mrs. Gloria Rollins-Hurt of 408 South 9th Avenue, Hopewell, VA, affectionately known as “Glo” to many, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Chippenham Hospital.
Gloria was born on November 20, 1962 to the late Mary Lee Rollins and Richard H. Walker; and her stepfather, Herman Wiggins.
She was employed with Shamin Hotel Residence Inn Richmond-Chester, VA, for 16 years. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, but mostly she loved to spend her weekends with “Muffin”.
Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Rollins; sister, Delores Raines; brothers, Herman Wiggins, Jr.; grandmother, Natherine Rollins; grandfather, Herbert Rollins.; uncles, Herbert Rollins, Jr., Lewis Harrison, and Herman Rollins; one nephew, Terneil L. Rhodes; cousins, Yulander Claiborne, Corey Lewis, Jr., Chè Lewis and Zanaya Raines.
Gloria leaves to cherish her loving memories with her four daughters, Waneka Williams, Justine Rollins, Trease Rollins, and Natasha Rollins all of Hopewell, VA; devoted sisters, Barbara Rollins, Ann Walker, Mary Walker, Melissa Briggs, Carrie Williams, Beverly Thomas and Delores Gholson; devoted brother, David Rollins (Jane); grandchildren, JaQuasha Rollins, Marlin Rollins, Zaykwon Howell, Tashaun Rollins, Zimauri Coleman, Jaquan Rollins, Zy’Asia Rollins, ZyDaejan Rollins, ZyKharri Rollins, Jream Lucas, Peachlyn Hurt, Shyheem Cooper, Jacorey Rollins, Gloriana Le’Face Rollins, and Kaitlyn Mitchell all of Hopewell; great grandchild, Charli Howell; devoted godsons, Onaje Tucker, Jamari Rollins and Jerel Brown; devoted nephews, David Gholson, Michael Rollins, Trey Smith, Calvin Rollins, Maurice Rollins, and Raekwon Hall; devoted nieces, Stephanie Kelly, Patricia Prosise, Salena Perry, Janaya Rollins, Nyesha Rollins, and Tamieka Woolfolk; devoted aunts, Daisy Claiborne, Shirley Rollins, and Naterine Rollins; devoted uncle, Melvin Rollins; devoted cousins, Colithia Rollins, Letitia Pope, Melvinia Raines, Christina Stith, Ramonda Quick, Maria Prosise, Antione Allen, William Allen, Clarence Claiborne, Georgianna Harper, Isaac Claiborne, Monica Claiborne, Trell and T.J.; devoted friend, Wanda Rollins; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. William Roberts, eulogist. The interment to follow at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park.
