Dianna F. Hill

January 15, 1953 – March 2, 2022

On March 2, 2022, Our Lord and Savior called home our beloved, Dianna Janice Hill, affectionately known as “Ma”. Dianna was born to Lillie Mae Patterson and the late James Fields, Sr.

Dianna attended Peabody High School. In her early years, she worked for Arnold’s Pens and she was a supervisor for Bellwood’s One, She also worked at Rose’s which became her favorite store to shop in. She also worked 19 years at Fort Lee for Econo Food Service as the Head Cook, but her all-time favorite job was being a “grandmother”. She was the person you go to for cooking lessons she loved to cook and go to the store to buy what she would say, “I only need a few items” and end up with a basket full. Her laugh and smile were so contagious.

Dianna was preceded in death by her son, Roderick Patterson, and daughter. Latisha Rollie; grandchildren, Domonic Williams, Mi’Kayla Williams and Jazmine Rollie; and her brothers, Bobby Fields, James Fields, Tyrone Fields.

Dianna leaves to cherish her memories to a loving husband, John Hill, Sr.; loving and devoted mother, Lillie Mae Patterson; loving and devoted children, Juaning Williams, Jr., Dianna Williams, Melvennia Uzzle (Jimmie Jr.), John Hill, Jr. (Natricia); brother, Claude Fields, sisters-in-law, Ann Mayfield (Clint), Gracie Saunders (Robert), Elizabeth Paul (Earl) and Beulah Prosise; loving grandchildren, most devoted Janiyah Charles-Rollie, Antonio Kelly, Juanita Kelley, Antoinette Kelley, Devonte Williams, Monique Williams, Gerjuan Williams, Reneese Stovall, Cierra Mullins, Sasha Uzzle, Jimmie III and Wesley Houston, Tyra Hill, Nicholas Hill, Nigel Hill, Shameeka Malone, Kallitha Malone and  Brittney Brown. Lastly her lifelines the apple of her eyes her great-grandchildren, Deshaun Malone, Zamiyah and Maleah Kelley, Ka’vion Chavis-Kelley, Khalani Kelley, Faith Moore, Justice Tubbs, A’shya Malone, Javon Holman, Imani Crawley, Jarod Crawley (Jr.), Loren Stovall, Jamya Houston, and Phoenix Houston; and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Special people in her life are Melinda Gilliard, Yvette Hill-Harris, Elaine Fields, and Pacing Williams. 

Services was held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. The interment followed at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
