February 12, 1963 – January 16, 2023
David S. “Ninny” Brown, 59, of Prince George, VA, entered into eternal rest on the evening of January 16, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his devoted family and friends. He was the youngest of his siblings born on February 12, 1963, to the late Herman Brown, Sr. and Corrine Ellen Brown.
Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his stepson, Marcus Perry; and his sister, Margaret Scott.
David was educated in the Prince George County School System and graduated with the Class of 1982. When he finished school, he went to serve his country in the United States Army for 10 years. While in the Army, he earned many awards and certificates. When he completed that task, David started working with Tarmac (now Vulcan Material) where he was a deck hand for over 25 years. He was a hard and dedicated worker until his health declined.
David was baptized in 2010 and joined Lebanon Baptist Church, Disputana, VA. He enjoyed cooking, family outings, the casino, fishing, and riding his lawnmower. He also was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
David leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 25 years, Hope Brown of Prince George, VA; stepson, Robert Perry of Baltimore, MD; devoted brother, Herman Brown, Jr. of Prince George, VA; two devoted sisters, Lottie Jones (Albert) of Richmond, VA and Betty Guy (Jerry) of Columbus, GA; godson, Jaylen Hicks of Prince George, VA; nephews, Kenneth Guy (Chandra) of Atlanta, GA, Philip Guy (Mary) of Columbus, GA and devoted Leroy Brown (Brandy) of Chesterfield, VA; nieces, Dawn Scott of Petersburg, VA and Patricia Jones of Richmond, VA; very special mother-in-law, Mary Evans of Disputana, VA; sister-in-law, Amanda Hicks (Will) of Prince George, VA; two brothers-in-law, Martin Thomas (Rose) and Michael Thomas (Sharesea) both of Hopewell, VA; and a host of other nieces and nephews who he adored, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Lebanon Baptist Church, 13800 Lebanon Road, Disputanta, VA, the Rev. James L. Barnes, Pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow in the church cemetery.
