June 14, 1941 – May 17, 2023

Daniel L. Parham of South Chesterfield, VA, was called home on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, peacefully at his home. He was born June 14, 1941, to the late Deacon Charlie Parham and Deaconess Laura C. Parham. He was preceded in death by six brothers, John A. Parham, Charles Parham, James Parham, Chris Parham, Deacon Leon Parham, Sr. and Clarence Parham; and one sister, Lillian P. Wilkins.
Daniel was baptized at an early age at Providence Baptist Church. Later in life he moved his membership by letter to the Olive Branch Baptist Church, where he served on the Senior Usher Board for over 30 plus years.
He received his education in the Prince George County School System. He worked for Brown Williamson Tobacco Company for 16 years until they closed. He then went to work for Lance, Inc. as a Salesman for 20 years before retiring.
Daniel was an avid fisherman. He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, photography, and talking on his CB Radio. He was a former member of the Tri-City CB Club his handle was “29”.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 59 years, Mary Lula Parham; one devoted daughter, Gail S. Connors (Anthony); one grandson, Tyrell L. Connors and one granddaughter, Katreece L. Connors (Raymond); one great grandson, Kamar L. Conners; one sister, Elsie Morrison of Rochester of NY; four sisters-in-law, Estelle Gant and Barby J. Roney both of Petersburg, VA, Shirley Walker of Chester, VA, and Deborah Walker of Louisville, KY; one nephew like a brother, Adolphus Burrow (Mickey); a dear friend, Luther Anderson (Cheryl) a host of devoted nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew; cousins, other relatives, his Philadelphia Family and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of 5-West at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, his primary care doctor, Dr. Puthumana, and James River Home Health Care and Hospice for all their support during Daniel’s illness.
Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 26, 2023, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Kevin D. Northam, eulogist. The interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
