Clifton “Love” Clark, age 70, of 25 Grigg Street, Petersburg, VA, departed this life on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Chippenham Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was born May 10, 1953, to the late Robert and Bernice Clark.

Clifton dedicated his life to working hard, driving dump trucks and spending time with his family. He also loved fishing and working on cars.

Clifton was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Lee Clark, Billy Clark and Ralph Thomas Clark; sister, Beatrice Clark; nephew, Michael Clark and his niece, Juanita Clark.

Clifton leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Norita Clark; devoted daughters, Lisa Browder (Marco), Shelly (Tony), Lattia (David) and Browder Terry Pegram (Travis); grandchildren, Jawara and Takiah Browder, Jaylyn Jones, Ryan, Myra, Aleccia, Daimien (Sonyia), Ka’lyss and Tyquone Browder, Tyyarnia and Taleeyha Pegram; brother, David Clark; sisters, Gladys Coleman, Mary Jones and Hazel Clark all of Petersburg, VA; aunt, Ethel Jones; uncle, Edward Clark; dedicated nephews, Billy Clark and Walter Browder; nieces, Crystal McKeever, Shada and Diquita Browder; brothers-in-law, David, Craig, Timothy and Tony Browder; sisters-in-law, Brenda Browder, Monique Delane and Terry Browder; close friends, Charles Edward Johnson, Joe Harper and Bartte; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Services will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Karesha Jones-Williams, eulogist and Rev. Brenda Cherry, officiating. The interment to follow at The Bonner Family Cemetery.
