Our Dear Mother, Cheryl Christina Berra Weathers, born June 9, 1948, in Petersburg. VA, sadly passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Cheryl was predeceased by her mother, Mary Williams Hellmers; her sister, Bonnie Griffiths; and her son, Brian Keith Edwards. She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Bobby Tomlin (Missy); daughters, Marita Berra, Crystal Jordan, Julie Roborecki (Jim), Dawn Edwards Vaughn (Kelly). Those who called her Nana, her grandchildren, Tyler Wilkins (Amanda), Blake Tomlin (Amber), Mark Adkins, Jr., Daniel Berra, Michael Berra (Shelby), Alecia Chiarky, Devin Edwards (Ali), Sierra Edwards (Thomas), Brian Edwards, Jr., Kourtnee Hendrych, Breonna Buckman, David Lowe, Nathaniel Chiarky, Damien Chiarky; her bonus grandchildren, Arica Vaughn, Brendan Vaughn, Gracie Vaughn; great grandchildren, Hayven Tomlin, Elaina Tomlin and Mehdi Boukheir; brothers, Thomas Berra (Sally), Wayne Berra (Diane), Mickey Berra (Marcy), and David Hux (John); sister, Davida Bloomberg (Bruce); mom had three lifelong best friends, Dixie Disher, Donna Wright Fuller, and Denise Wright.
The family would like to thank Dixie Disher and Shannon Riggs for all the love, support and care given to our mom during this difficult time. Mom was a little spit fire with a heart of gold. She loved her family, bingo, spades, rummy, and them damn scratch tickets. She enjoyed music and reading. She will be missed by all her knew her. Saying goodbye isn’t for us….Instead, we say See You Later. We know that Mom was loved for, who she was in life and will be remembered for her heart in her death.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Eddie Robinson, eulogist. The interment to follow at Blandford Cemetery.
Family and friends visistation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
