Brian R. Emerson, Sr., 40, of North Dinwiddie, VA, departed this life on May 22, 2023.  He was born on October 19, 1982, in Petersburg, VA. He attended Matoaca High School.  Brian was employed as a electrician for 15 years. 

Brian was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fans and he had a love for his favorite game, Magic the Gathering.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Ray Stevens; and his father, Roy Emerson.

Brian is survived by his wife, Monica M. Emerson; children, Kayla M. Hamilton (Hunter), Brian E. Emerson, Jr. (Cam), and Conner B. Emerson; stepchildren, Charlie, Brandon, Kole and Nathan; grandchildren, James Cole Hamilton; sisters, Jennife E. Silva (Mike) and Stacy L. Stevens (Brim); nieces, Jordyn and Miah; nephews, Eli and Jared; and a host of other relatives and friends.
