On Saturday, December 31, 2022, with his wife by his side, God in His infinite wisdom called home his beloved son, Bradley Keith Allen, Sr., 60, of South Chesterfield, VA. Affectionately known as “Brad”, was born on April 28, 1962, to the late Walter Skelton, Jr. and Sarah G Allen. Bradley was a native of Dinwiddie County. He graduated from Dinwiddie County High School. Bradley attended Virginia State University with an Bachelor degree in Business.
He retired from DuPont after many years of service. Bradley loved the Lord, and his greatest desire was to make God proud. He always said, “I’m living my best life.” He was a loving husband, father, and papa. He was a father figure and mentor to many. He coached little league football, basketball (AAU), and baseball. Bradley was also an avid Raiders Nation fan. He loved car shows, drag racing, antique cars, fishing and traveling. He also loved spending time with the grandchildren.
He was a dedicated and faithful member of Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries, where he loved his Bishop and Co-Pastor Robertson. He loved working at the Seed Time Harvest Ministry and the Security Ministry at the church. Brad never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Left to cherish his memory: his beloved wife the Rev. Alfreda Allen of South Chesterfield; daughter, Tiffany Tucker of South Carolina; sons, Brandon Tucker of Petersburg and Bradley Allen, Jr.; grandchildren, Josiah Tucker, Braelynn and Brayden Allen; brothers, David Gholson of Henrico, Lewis Allen (Meta) of Gloucester, VA, Michael Allen of Dinwiddie; two sisters, Velma and Beverly of Dinwiddie, VA; aunts, Hattie Gilliam, Mary Prosise and Mary Jordan; uncles, Maynard Skelton and James Skelton; nephews, Michael Harper (Georgiana), Johnny Harper, Derrick Mallory, Marlon Browder, Curtis Allen (Erica), Jamar Allen, Sr., Lewis Allen, Jr., Derrick Lee, Corry Taylor, Antoine Lee, Jamey Lee, Elgin Taylor, Jr., John Tate IV, Christopher Lee, Jordan Sydnor, Trevon Lee Hunter, and Treshawn Lee; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Bradley also leaves his three sisters-in-law, Rev. Patricia Taylor, Rochelle Tate and Linda Bland; two brothers-in-law, Linwood Lee and Kevin Lee; and his closest friends to name a few, Brother Ernest Green, Brother Cooley, Brother Jordan, and Captain Dugger.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries, 2501 Mt. Gilead Boulevard, Richmond, VA, Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr., Pastor, Co-Pastor Elena Robertson. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2023 at the funeral establishment.
At the request of the family of Mr. Allen the funeral services will not be livestreamed.
