Beulah J. Moore, age 78, of Petersburg, VA, entered eternal life on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Bon Secours Southside Medical Center, Petersburg, VA. She was born in Prince George County, VA on November 22, 1944, to the late Prince and Louise Jones.
Beulah was a proud graduate of Sussex Central High School in Sussex, VA, graduating with the of the Class of the 1964 Tigers. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined the New Hope Baptist Church in Sussex, VA. She was a faithful and active member of Metropolitan Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA. Beulah retired from Honeywell International Inc. after 25 years of employment.
Beulah enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Moore; three sisters, Earlene Jiles, Sally Jones Blount and Alice Davis Jones Taylor; three brothers, Prince, Clarence and Andrew Jones; mother-in-law, Subert Moore; two sisters-in-law, Regina Yates and Betsy Moore; and her two brothers-in-law, Bernard and Calvin Moore.
Beulah leaves to mourn: her daughter, Cheryl M. Patterson (Elwood “Pat”); grandson, Malik Patterson; step-granddaughter, Cierra Person (Courtney); one step-great granddaughter, Cheyanne Person; one godson, Jonathan Moore; three brothers-in-law, Ronnie (Lydia), Andre (Bonnie) and Rondell Moore (Barbara); devoted nieces, Sylvia and Jamika Geter; one devoted nephew, Salik Porter (Pete); special devoted friends, Mary Odell Jackson, Doris Freeman, Carrie Hinton, Katie Jones, Judy Edwards, Ray Givens, Ray and Joyce Edmonds and Barbara Massenburg; and a host of other relatives, devoted neighbors and friends.
Understanding that death, like birth, is a part of the cycle of life, we say farewell to our dear Beulah.
Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1021 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Lamont A. Hobbs, Pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow at Blandford Cemetery.
