March 22, 1957 – February 16, 2023

Audrey B. Brown transitioned peacefully on February 16, 2023, at Bon Secours Hospice House after a valiant struggle with cancer. Audrey’s indomitable spirit encouraged her family and friends to persevere in the face of challenges. She was always committed to family, making sure that all had support to achieve their highest potential. As the oldest of five siblings, she was highly devoted, extremely principled, and simply known as the “Big Sis”.
Audrey was born to Howard and Vivian Mason Burrow on March 22, 1957 in Richmond, VA. She was baptized and joined the church at an early age. Later, she joined the Richmond Christian Center, where she worshiped all of her adult years.
After graduating from Matoaca High School, Audrey attended Virginia State University and Virginia Commonwealth University, where she majored in Mass Communication. She was an avid artist and extremely creative for design, drawing, media production and painting, which were quite innovative and contemporary.
Audrey was married to Joseph Brown. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard David Burrow; and stepfather, Bernard Edmonds, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son, Omar Nothanias Burrow; one grandson, Aiden Jeremiah Burrow of Richmond, VA; mother, Vivian Mason Edmonds of South Chesterfield, VA; devoted sister, Michelle Burrow of South Chesterfield, VA; three brothers, Howard Reginald Burrow (Patricia) of New Mexico, Karl David Burrow of Tokyo, Japan and Craig Wendell Burrow of Ettrick, VA; three aunts, Ruth Gibbs (Louis) of Teaneck, NJ, Earlene Hope (Theron) of Brooklyn, NY and Justine Jackson of Petersburg, VA; uncle, Roy Mason (Arzie) of Goldsboro, NC; four nieces; four nephews; and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
