This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a homicide.

On Dec. 21, 2022, the Colonial Heights Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Yacht Basin Drive for a report of human remains located in the wood line.  Officers responded and found the body of a deceased male, who was later identified as 19-year-old Chesterfield County resident Marcus James Johnson. Johnson was reported missing by his family and was last seen alive on Nov. 17 around 6 p.m. wearing blue jeans, a white puffer jacket, a red cap, and Nike toon squad sneakers.
