Nicholas D. Taylor

November 16, 1993 – July 16, 2022

Nicholas Taylor, affectionately known as “Nick”, departed this life on July 16, 2022. He was a Prince George High School graduate Class of 2012 and University of Richmond Class of 2016. He was preceded by his infant brother, “Trey Taylor”; his grandparents that loved on him, Webster and Tella Taylor, James and Elfriede Jackson.

Nick leaves behind his loving parents, Gregory and Tina Taylor; two sisters, Dominique, Tia, and brother Nylan; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, other relatives, close friends, Alexis and family, and many special friends that he spent so much time with over his life, Wayne Epps, Jr., James Griffin III, Christopher LeBron, Raul Luna, Daniel Elie, Aaron Timberlake, Payton Parr, Will Stith, Alvaro Rios, Martin Shin, Brendon S., Ryan Best, Brianna Rose Baribea and Cassandra Ceballas; his friend and mentor, Kenton Meronard; his Professor at University of Richmond and Advisor, Dr. Barry Lawson; the GoFundMe supporters who shared their love to help fund his sudden passing.

He loved hard, he never let any grass grow under his feet and he wore his heart on his sleeve.  Nicholas loved his animals especially his two pets, Sheba and Abu. Nick also loved traveling, hiking, computers, gaming, movies, culture, social, family, politics, people, music and philosophy. He also enjoyed working as a computer software engineer and mathematics teacher. He was always eager to share what he learned.

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Dr. Sylvia Tucker, eulogist. The interment to follow at the Appomattox Cemetery.
