February 4, 1939 – January 11, 2023

On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, our hearts were saddened by the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Lizette Nancy Lee, entered eternal rest on Wednesday morning.

Lizette affectionately known as “Lisa, Ellie, EZ Lady”, to family was a native of Brooklyn, NY. She was the oldest daughter of the late Ozzie Chatman and Elenore Manning.  Lizette was preceded in death by her sibling, Willie Manning; a very dear friend, James Parham and her daughter-in-law, Jontavia Morton.

Lizette Nancy Lee of 321 Webster Street, Petersburg, VA, departed this life at Bon Secours Southside Regional Medical Center.  She had worked for the City of Petersburg’s Sheriff Department, AAFS at Fort Lee, VA, a security guard at Dominion in North Carolina, proprietor of Lisa’s 19 Tee in Philly, PA, and an activist assistant of care in North Carolina.

Born on February 4, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY. She was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Petersburg/Richmond, VA.  She was a member of Posse M/C of Virginia and an honorary member of several Motorcycle Clubs. 

Lizette leaves to her memory: one devoted son, Dwayne “Andre” Lockett; one daughter, Lizette E. “Little Lisa” Lee; one devoted grandson, Darren “Quamby” Lee (Shirl) of New Jersey; step-daughter, Amanda Parham of Richmond; one great granddaughter, Arian Lee; brothers, Vincent Manning of Lutz, FL, and William Williams (Wanda “Reeny”) of Emporia, VA;  sister, Victoria Manning Borzillo of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law, Rose Manning of Las Vegas, NV; two goddaughters, Lucille “Ebony Princess” Nash of New York, and Angela D. Smith of Chesterfield, VA; three godsons, Malcolm Washington of  Florida, Brandon Washington of Prince George, and Domonique Black of Virginia Beach; cousin, Jeannette Carroll of Petersburg; and numerous family, club members, St. Paul Baptist Church family and friends.  

Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 27, 2023, in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, the Rev. Rosco Jones, eulogist.  Interment private.
