Jamal Malik Davis, affectionately known to family and friends as “Mal”, was born to the late Petula Davis-Briggs of Stony Creek, Virginia, and Alton Davis of Emporia Virginia. Also blessed to have God Mom, Dena Jordan of Norfolk, VA. He transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his home.
Jamal was a 2014 graduate of Greensville High School. He had dreams of becoming a Computer Technician. He really enjoyed downloading software, restoring data and just being an Awesome technician.
Jamal really loved listening to music, spending quality time with friends and family, floating in the clouds, being a jokester, and most importantly making precious memories with his beloved Daughter, Ja’Nique Morgan Davis.
Jamal sure knew how to Light up a room! He was known for uplifting your spirits and keeping it peaceful. He loved listening to his favorite artist J Cole, traveling and watching his favorite Basketball team the “Golden State Warriors” and loving on his daughter. You knew it was going to be an AWESOME and AMAZING day whenever he blessed us with his presence. Jamal was loved by many and will truly be missed. His legacy will live on through consistency, love and patience.
Along with his daughter Ja’Nique Morgan Davis, left to cherish his beautiful memories are his Grandfather William Davis Senior (Champ), three aunts, Beverly Johnson Davis of Emporia VA, Shirley Bailey of Stony Creek VA, Mary King of Petersburg, VA, and late Mandy Briggs of Midlothian, VA. Six uncles, Marvin Davis of Emporia VA, William (Fox) Davis, of Emporia VA, Andie Briggs of Stony Creek VA, Charles Briggs (Shelia) of Prince George VA, James Briggs (Maureen) of Macon, GA, and Tony Briggs (Shirley) of Loganville. Two sisters, Shanta Mangrum of North Chesterfield VA, and Teresa Givings of Emporia VA. Two brothers, Kordell Davis of Emporia VA, and Devonta Conner of Emporia VA. One niece Alyaniee Davis, six nephews, Ahmad Davis, Josiah Walton, Jayden Conner, Raheem Conover, Kahdeen Conover, and one unborn bundle of Joy. Devoted best friends Younique Morgan of Emporia, Alyzjah Kurtzhalts of Emporia VA, and Deshawn Robinson of Emporia VA. Many other aunts and uncles, Created families and a ton of loving cousins and so many friends.
Funeral service will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Chapel of Bland Funeral Homes, 137 Harrison St., Petersburg, VA., 23803. Rev. Rbert L. Bullock, Sr.
